IT Operations Foundation
Nine years in telecom IT operations, infrastructure, security, and IT governance at BEECABLE Telecom — the disciplined bedrock of everything that followed.
A commercially driven digital transformation leader connecting technology, commercial strategy, and institutional execution.
Hayder H. Maala is a commercially driven digital transformation and commercial strategy leader whose work sits at the intersection of technology, commerce, and institutional execution. Across more than thirteen years of progressive experience, he has built a career defined by translating complex digital solutions into commercially viable, operationally realistic, and institutionally aligned outcomes.
His trajectory is a deliberate progression rather than a series of unrelated roles. It began in IT operations and telecom infrastructure — the disciplined, service-driven foundation of network operations, security, and IT governance — where he developed a first-principles understanding of how technology actually runs inside demanding, always-on environments. That operational grounding remains the bedrock of everything he does today.
From there, his focus shifted toward the commercial edge of technology. He moved into enterprise client solutions, translating cloud, connectivity, and managed IT into structured, revenue-generating offerings for enterprise accounts. That role bridged the technical and the commercial, teaching him to position capability in the language of business value and institutional priorities rather than specifications alone.
His path then advanced into investment and business development, where he concentrated on market expansion, partnerships, and deal structuring within Iraq's evolving digital economy. Building on that commercial mandate, he progressed into commercial strategy and bid leadership — governing the end-to-end lifecycle of high-value government and enterprise ICT bids, from qualification and win strategy through commercial modeling, procurement compliance, and signature.
Today Hayder is fluent across the full breadth of the enterprise technology landscape — telecom, cloud, managed IT, connectivity, and AI-enabled services — and engages closely with Iraqi government institutions and the wider public sector. He pairs end-to-end bid management with investment strategy, connecting what is technically deliverable to what is commercially sound and institutionally acceptable.
Underpinning this is a strong academic and executive foundation — an MSc in Computer Science, an Executive MBA, and a published paper in cloud computing — complemented by leadership beyond the corporate mandate through Startup Grind Baghdad and UNITAR programs. He works fluently in Arabic and English, moving between technical, commercial, and institutional audiences with equal ease.
From operational foundations to commercial leadership — each stage building on the last.
